Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) will be the Montana Lottery‘s instant scratch games provider for another two years after extending its existing five-year contract through August 2022.

The Las Vegas headquartered company has been a provider to the western state’s lottery since the member of the Multi-State Lottery Association’s inception some 30-plus years ago and is the sole provider of Montana Scratch games, which are among the most innovative games of their kind in the US.

Choose innovation:

Always thinking outside the box, Montana‘s lottery is routinely one of the first providers to opt for ‘strategic product enhancements‘ from Scientific Games, including ‘specialty papers, finishes and inks like foil, holographic, MicroMotion™, HD Games™, Sparkle? , LuxVelvet? and LuxTouch?, as well as products with greater chances to play and win like two-sided play with Scratch My Back? games.

According to an official press release (pdf) from the company, Senior Vice President Products for Scientific Games, John Schulz, said…

“The Montana Lottery has always been a leader in launching scratch games that feature our newest manufacturing techniques and licensed brands. They are typically one of the first lotteries in the U.S. to try innovative approaches to traditional instant games, and we are honored by the trust they continue to place in our Company for more than 30 years.”

Since the Montana Lottery’s inception in 1987, Scientific Games has served as its provider and was chosen as its ‘sole primary instant games provider’ so that it might help generate maximum proceeds to “Big Sky Country.” Proceeds from the Lottery support the Montana STEM Scholarship Program as well as the General Fund which in turn supports the lion’s share of state government and programs.

Director of the Montana Lottery, Angela Wong, also commented on the contract extension, saying…

“We are delighted to continue our innovation with Scientific Games on Montana Scratch games for two more years through this contract extension.

“We look forward to strengthening our current Montana Scratch offering with more exciting new games that both entertain players and responsibly drive state funding to benefit all Montanans.”

Scientific Games Corporation provides games, technology and services to over 150 lotteries worldwide, including the majority of Northern American lotteries.
