Macau integrated resort developer and operator Sands China Ltd (HKEx: 1928), has confirmed the launch of the first part of the phased opening of The Londoner Macao, its US$2 billion reimagining of the Sands Cotai Central.

Announced via press release on Tuesday, the company said an official ceremony will be held in “early February,” and is to?open progressively throughout 2021.?

London-theme:

Included in the first phase, the company will unveil the all-suite The Londoner Hotel, Crystal Palace atrium, new dining options, and interactive London-themed attractions. The Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS) subsidiary is also responsible for the nearby?The Venetian Macao,?The Plaza Macao,?Sands Macao?and?The Parisian Macao?properties.

President and Chief Operating Officer for Las Vegas Sands,?Robert Goldstein, said…

Property features:

In addition to existing properties Conrad?Macao, Sheraton Grand Macao, and The St. Regis Macao, the Londoner Macao comprises two new all-suite hotels, The Londoner Hotel?and?Londoner Court, which will reportedly open later in 2021, and features five world-class hotel brands with 6,000-plus guestrooms, three spas and four health clubs, a diverse range of British, Asian and international dining options, including a gastropub by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, among others, and a new 6,000-seat arena, rebranded and expanded retail space, landmarks, live entertainment and more.

The two top two floors of the Londoner Hotel incorporate 14 exclusive Suites by?David Beckham, British icon and Sands Resorts Macao global ambassador, to be launched later in 2021.

Gaming possibilities:

It has been reported that there won’t be any major changes to the more than 365,000 square feet of gaming space located within The Londoner Macao, however, it could eventually include an expanded collection of up to 2,000 slots?and 450 gaming tables.

New Year availability:

According to the press release, the booking period for The Londoner Hotel began accepting room reservations from Dec. 15, 2020, for availability from Jan. 22, 2021.?

Back in June, Sands China announced that it expected the first stage of the development to be finished by the end of September, followed by a further update in August informing that the opening would be postponed until the number of visitors crossing the border into Macau increases.
