On the heels of its latest live casino agreement, Pragmatic Play has launched its first new title of the month, Empty the Bank. Inspired by the “Swinging Sixties,” the online slot partners players with a Cockney robber, and together they plan the perfect heist for possible wins of up to 10,000x the stake!
Set amid a cityscape on the rooftop of a building where a solitary black cat scales the ledges, the highly volatile 5-reel,?4-row game features 20 paylines and is playable on any device. In addition to the game panel, you’ll find a rather cheeky cockney burglar, who is conspicuously dressed in skinny jeans, Chucks and a mask, while he attempts to clean out as many bank vaults as he can manage.
Engaging setting:
Further setting the mood in this crime-inspired adventure is a soundtrack reminiscent of something you’d hear in a 60s era Get Smart episode.
As for the game’s symbols, there are J-A card values as low pays while coins, banknotes, gold bars, sacks of jewels and crowns are premiums. Landing five of the jewel-encrusted crowns pays 20x the bet, while the remaining premium symbols pay 4-10x. All but the crown symbol pay out when three or more land from left to right on the reels starting from the far left. Only two or more crown symbols need to line up to pay out.
The robber’s masked face serves as the game’s wild symbol and appears on all five reels, replacing all other symbols with the exception of the bank safe doors as the bonus symbol.
Features and special symbols:
Empty the Bank’s main attraction is the Respin feature, which is triggered during the base game when 3 bank vault scatters land on the same spin on reels 1, 3, and 5. When that happens, players are able to enter the bank vault via a bonus grid for the chance to win some big rewards. Along the way, they’ll also get some help from some special symbols capable of modifying gameplay and boosting winning potential.
At the start of the round, players receive three money symbols (which take random values of up to 10x the stake) and three respins, which reset when a new symbol appears on the reels. During the feature, other special symbols, including a walkie-talkie, computer, burglar, alarm, drill, hammer, ladder and safe door, perform specific tasks. For example, the walkie-talkie adds its value (1-2x the bet) to all money symbols on the current spin along with all subsequent spins, while the ladder symbol transforms the grid, unlocking row 6 followed by 7, with players winning 1x the bet.
What they’re saying:
Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play, Yossi Barzely used a company press release to comment on the new game, stating that they are “thrilled” to announce the launch of their latest slot title, with the “crime-inspired thriller” drawing motivation from the “dramatised bank raids of the Swinging Sixties.”
