Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville, Massachusetts generated more than $18 million in gaming revenue in its first month of operation. The information was revealed in the July revenue report released by state officials.?Plainridge Park, which?opened in late June as Massachusetts’ first casino?offers slots and electronic table games, but no live dealer tables.

The impressive July earnings?will mean a cash flow of almost $9 million to the state of Massachusetts. Most of the money is planned for aiding cities and towns, while 18% of it will be used for supporting the horse racing industry. Officials claimed that if Plainridge continuous working at?the current pace it will most likely earn $200 million in gaming revenue after a full year of operations. In that case, the state would collect revenue of about $98 million.

However, the state’s first casino will need?to compete with other casinos in Massachusetts planned to open in the coming years. Wynn Everett with 150 table games and 3,000 slots should open in 2017 and MGM Springfield is on track?to open in 2018 with a similar number of slots, 75 gaming tables and a 20 table poker room.
