This years’ Malta iGaming Seminar (MiGS), attended by 430 iGaming industry professionals, was a successful standout conference – from the poker tournament kickoff to the zorb football closing party. With 18 exhibitors and 39 sponsors, the MiGS event was large enough to attract major players and investors but small enough to network with everyone an iGaming professional would want to connect with.

Attendees arrived from 22 countries – and after the free roll poker event, they were welcomed by the Hon. Chris Cardona, Malta’s Minister of the Economy, Investment and Small Business, and Joe Cuschieri, head of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).??Cuschieri stressed the adaptations that the MGA is making to stay ahead of the curve as a licensing jurisdiction.

The “no topic is off limits,” content-rich event covered hot issues like “Payments, Advocacy and eSports/Fantasy Sports” as well as inspiring discussions on how the industry is still evolving, where the growth potential lies, how the balance between business and government can be achieved, and the importance of technology in the industry.

Industry icon Sue Schneider noted that one of the most pleasant aspects of the island’s event is the “professional yet relaxed vibe,” something not easily cultivated at a business conference. After the successful completion of the 2015 event, the dates for the 2016 conference in Malta?were announced: November 15-18.
