The Malta Gaming Authority has announced that Monday saw it suspend the remote gaming license held by Star World Limited and order the online casino and sportsbook operator to immediately cease all business.
Star World Limited is the firm behind the MrRingo.com domain and was also directed to stop registering new players, fully cooperate with a possible upcoming investigation into the action concerning license MGA/CL1/1020/2014 and terminate all transactions including deposits and withdrawals.
“The [Malta Gaming] Authority hereby notifies that any websites operated by Star World Limited or associated with Star World Limited and which make reference to the [Malta Gaming] Authority or the above-quoted license is not approved to be operational by the [Malta Gaming] Authority,” read a statement posted on the regulator’s website. “Due to the suspension of the license, Star World Limited is therefore not authorized to continue conducting gaming by means of distance communications under a [Malta Gaming] Authority license.”
The regulator further advised anyone owed money by Star World Limited to get in touch with its office via e-mail at [email protected] and provide their full name, address, date of birth, telephone number and associated user name. The Malta Gaming Authority additionally counseled those seeking recompense to supply a copy of their passport or photographic identification card as well as a screenshot of any balance or pending cash outs.
