The local subordinate of Casinos Austria International in Japan has reportedly announced that it is in the process of establishing a consortium for the purposes of bidding for the rights to build and operate an integrated casino resort on the southern island of Kyushu.
Sasebo scenes:
According to a report from GGRAsia, the revelation from Akio Hayashi, Chief Executive Officer for Casinos Austria International Japan Incorporated, included a revelation that his firm is hoping to bring its proposed gambling facility to a 74-acre site adjacent to the Huis Ten Bosch theme park near the small Nagasaki Prefecture city of Sasebo.
Area attention:
The executive reportedly declared that there were a number of local businesses that had already expressed an interest in ‘taking part in infrastructure support’ for his firm’s proposed Japanese integrated casino resort although he subsequently declined to specifically identify any of these prospective partners.
Hayashi reportedly told GGRAsia…
“We’re just in the beginning of the formation of a consortium.”
Global expertise:
Vienna-headquartered Casinos Austria International reportedly runs some 40 gambling facilities in 16 jurisdictions including Austria, Egypt, Belgium and Australia while Hayashi reportedly detailed that this experience should help his firm in winning one of the three casino licenses being put up for grabs by the Japanese government.
Hayashi stated…
“Since we have experience in fitting with all those different environments and cultures, we are confident that those experiences would work for the Japan bid as well.”
Civic support:
The Governor for Nagasaki Prefecture, Hodo Nakamura, recently described his area as one of the nation’s ‘most advanced’ regarding public support for an integrated casino resort and that he hopes this attitude will help his campaign to bring such a facility to the region.
