Copenhagen-based betting data specialist Better Collective has reportedly announced the appointment of former Western Europe president of Microsoft and current CEO of investment management solutions provider SimCorp, Klaus Holse, to its board.

The move by Better Collective comes on the heels of its early August 2017 appointment of Jens Bager as the company’s chairman of the board. Bager had been for the previous six years the chairman of the board of Ambu A/S and from 2000 to 2016 the CEO of ALK-Abelló A/S.

Better Collective, which owns customizable odds comparison site, SmartBets, reportedly said Holse brings an “unmatched level of experience that will help drive the tech company forward,” according to the news release.

Founder and chief executive of Better Collective, Jesper S?gaard, said: “We are truly excited to have Klaus join our board. Better Collective has always considered digital innovation as one of its core competences, and Klaus’ expertise will help us develop even further.”

S?gaard added, “His insights will ensure Better Collective further strengthen its position as the leading international affiliate for the iGaming industry.”

Also commenting on the appointment, Holse, said that his interest has been “truly piqued” by the aggregator platform that Better Collective has built.

He went on to say, “Considering that the company has received multiple industry awards for their innovative digital products, they are certainly leading the pack within the iGaming industry and I look forward to bring some of my experience to help drive this further.”

Betting Collective was founded in 2004 and powers a range of products and gaming sites, including the social network for betting, BettingExpert, which generates upwards of 125,000 new betting tips monthly. The company’s portfolio boasts more than 1,500 websites and products, including bettingexpert LIVE and DiscoverSlots.

In early September, Better Collective announced its acquisition of online casino counterpart CasinoLounge.co.uk and of Austrian sportsbetting affiliate WettPortal.
