Taking a page from last year’s inaugural edition, the MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit which took place on May 9 at the?Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel?in the Lithuanian capital of?Vilnius was a smashing success.
The one-day event brings together industry shareholders and government officials for the chance to engage in important discussions related to compliance updates, recent technological trends and other hot topics, and has now set a precedent in the region. The second edition of the “must attend” event is billed as the region’s only quality conference that attracts a large number of delegates and provides ‘quality content’ about the Scandinavian and Baltic region.
According to boutique gaming event organizer, European Gaming Media and Events…
More than 100 industry stakeholders were in attendance at this year’s edition of the conference, nearly doubling the number of regulators, legal experts, industry representatives and operators?from companies in?Latvia,?Estonia and Lithuania that attended the gaming summit hosted in Riga, Latvia on May 8, 2018.
Industry’s best:
The event organizer thanked a number of supporting sponsors of the one-of-a-kind conference, including industry leaders such as NetEnt (Main Stage Sponsor), Tom Horn Gaming (Silver Sponsor), Play’n GO (General Sponsor), SBTech (Lanyards Sponsor) and NSoft (General Sponsor) along with Legal and Banking Sponsor, Tal Ron, Drihem and Co. Law Firm, Payments Sponsor, ConnectPay and others.
Wide-ranging agenda:
The conference’s agenda featured several panel discussions, unique and informative keynote presentations, an exclusive IMGL MasterClass, several networking opportunities, a fireside chat and finally, the inaugural Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards (BSG), which celebrated by rewarding the top 21 firms (gaming software suppliers, operators and service providers) that are active in the Baltic Sea region for their dedication and hard work.
Co-Founder, Co-Owner and Head of Business for European Gaming Media and Events, Zoltán T?ndik, stated…
“MARE BALTICUM Gaming Summit 2019 in Vilnius was a great opportunity for us to meet new friends and grow our family in the Baltic and Scandinavian region. We are so happy to see that the MARE BALTICUM series has been taken as a breath of fresh air by the industry and the 2019 edition consolidates our footprint in the region as a key event and source of information. We would also like to congratulate the winners of the inaugural BSG Awards and we will be back in 2020 with an even bigger and more interactive conference.”
Delegate testimonials:
And here are just a few of the testimonials left by attending delegates of this year’s Summit.
Chief Commercial Officer at Tom Horn Gaming, Sara Urbanovicova, said…
“This is a fantastic event and it is sure to establish itself as a must-attend conference in the diary for the online gaming community. Its Baltic and Scandinavian focus, with a careful selection of high-quality speakers on the panels, an amazing location, organizers’ dedication to creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, make it a one-of-a-kind event that proved to be really productive for us. We’re sure to return next year!”
Regional Director Baltics at Enlabs – Optibet, Dainis Niedra, commented…
“This is a very nice initiative to create and develop such kind of event in the Baltic countries. By working together and establishing a strong base no matter is it compliance or marketing, we build the right environment for the future development of the business and society.
Baltics are small but at the same time are very different in many aspects. It’s becoming challenging to replicate the previous experience in the new markets and such events are here to help us. Organizational wise – on a very high level. It’s hard to say where did we benefit more – from the main event of from the networking parts.”
Chief Marketing Officer at UltraPlay,?Lyubomira Petrova, added…
“I had the pleasure to speak at Mare Balticum Gaming Summit and present why eSports is going to play a key role in the gambling industry in 2020 and beyond. Discussing what the future holds for the industry, we see the tremendous growth of eSports and its importance in terms of betting and player’s engagement.”
Coming events:
According to the event organizer, they are already hard at work on the coming events, while ‘they look forward to seeing you’ at the 4th edition of the Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference and Awards (CEEGC & CEEG) on September 24-25 2019, in Budapest, Hungary, and in?Milan at the European Gaming Congress scheduled for October 22, 2019.
The location of the 2020 edition Gaming Summit will reportedly be determined by ‘final surveying and strategy setting’ and will be held in either Tallinn (Estonia) or Copenhagen (Denmark).
Be sure to plan ahead for next year’s “must attend” conference. Event organizers made available a limited amount of packages allowing conference attendees to take advantage of a ticket and lodging discounted rate for this year’s gaming summit, but they sold out fast.
