According to Reed, approximately $400 million would be generated by the initial proposal, about half of which would come from the VGTs.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.worldcasinodirectory.com\/pennsylvania-casinos-not-happy-with-video-poker-budget-plan-29356\">opponents<\/a> expressed their concerns on the House Floor about the machines and that their widespread availability would erode revenue from the state\u2019s lottery and casinos. The amendment to Rep. George Dunbar\u2019s HB 2150 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.pa.us\/cfdocs\/legis\/PN\/Public\/btCheck.cfm?txtType=PDF&amp;sessYr=2015&amp;sessInd=0&amp;billBody=H&amp;billTyp=B&amp;billNbr=2150&amp;pn=3494\" rel=\"nofollow\">pdf<\/a>) <a href=\"http:\/\/news.worldcasinodirectory.com\/committee-to-vote-on-dfs-bill-in-pennsylvania-fanduel-and-draftkings-reach-deal-in-ny-28706\">daily fantasy sports bill<\/a>, A08621, which contained authorization for VGTs in bars, was defeated by the House.<\/p>\n<p>After a brief recess for private meetings, the chamber returned and by a 115 to 80 margin, approved Rep. Rosita Youngblood\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legis.state.pa.us\/cfdocs\/legis\/HA\/public\/HaCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&amp;syear=2015&amp;sind=0&amp;body=H&amp;type=B&amp;bn=2150&amp;pn=3531&amp;ayear=2015&amp;an=08734&amp;aType=DAY\" rel=\"nofollow\">A08734<\/a>. The vote, however, is preliminary and in order for the legislation to be passed along to the Senate, it will require a second vote by the House.<\/p>\n<p>With the July 1 start of the state\u2019s next fiscal year fast approaching, there have been no indications that the Legislature and Gov. Tom Wolf\u2019s administration are close to a deal on the budget.
